Oat Nut Pancake Recipes

Oat Nut Pancake



 Ingredients


1 cup all purpose unbleached flour
1/4 cup whole wheat pastry flour
1/4 cup quick cooking oats or oats flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 cup toasted walnuts or pecans finely chopped
1/3 cup stabilized ground flaxseed
1 1/2 cup soy milk
1 tablespoon canola oil
1 tablespoon pure maple syrup or sugar


Preparation


  • Sift the ingredients except walnut and oats.Put in a large bowl and then you add walnuts and oats.Then stir.Make a space in the dried ingredients and then add the wet ingredients.Stir well to combine.
  • Heat a griddle to a medium-high heat and lightly oil it.Use a 1/4 cup butter for each of the pancake.Cook this on the heated griddle until bubble appears right on the top,this would take about one to one and half minutes.Flip the pancakes and cook the other side until golden brown,do this for about 1 minute.
  • You can serve immediately to keep warm in an oven set in a lowest heat.

Tip

Toast 1/2 cup of walnuts or pecans.Finely chop 1/4 cup,and use the remaining in warm syrup.
